Senior Strategic Advisory Manager, Asia

*We are looking for an experienced advisory professional interested in relocating to Singapore*

Our client is an advisory/consulting firm working with major global corporations and top-tier investment firms, supporting them with business and investment decision making across Asia.

They are hiring an additional role to add further capability and capacity to the Asia team, adding a layer of management between regional leadership and the analysts and associates executing client projects.

With responsibility for client relationship management and development as well as mentoring and managing junior staff, this role will:
 

• Deliver strategic advisory assignments to help clients with business and investment decisions in Asia.
• Conduct research and analysis into companies, individuals, regulations, policy, political environments, and commercial relationships
• Assess commercial, reputational, regulatory, and political risks relevant to client decisions
• Map stakeholder relationships, political dynamics, and influence networks
• Develop and manage human source networks
• Conduct discreet enquiries and source-led research across multiple jurisdictions
• Produce clear, concise, and commercially relevant written analysis for senior business leaders, investors, and legal counsel
• Present findings directly to clients through calls and meetings
• Work across multiple sectors, markets, and subject areas simultaneously
• Operate with limited oversight while managing competing priorities and deadlines

Requirements
 

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in advisory, consulting, law, government affairs, public policy, think tanks, or related fields
• Strong investigative mindset with curiosity, persistence, and commercial awareness
• Ability to learn quickly and become credible in unfamiliar sectors or jurisdictions
• Strong written communication and analytical skills
• Comfortable advising senior stakeholders and handling sensitive matters
• Strong academic background preferred
• Excellent English with additional fluency in a relevant language useful

The hiring firm is happy to provide visa sponsorship, but relocation support is not available. We are therefore looking for someone who has a genuine reason for wanting to be in Singapore and is comfortable making the move at their own expense.

Previous experience or a strong connection to Asia would be particularly useful – perhaps you have lived or worked in Singapore/Asia previously, grew up in the region, have covered Asia professionally, or simply have a longer-term reason for wanting to be here.
