Apply to Strategic Intelligence | Manager/Associate Director
Strategic Intelligence & Risk Advisory
As a Manager/Associate Director of Strategic Intelligence, you will lead client relationships, manage small teams, ensure project delivery and research commercial, policy, regulatory, and reputational matters on behalf of corporations and investment firms.
Projects might include gathering intelligence on the commercial risks associated with a multi-billion-dollar acquisition, researching the geopolitical and regulatory environment surrounding entry into a new market, conducting source enquiries into the political dynamics influencing key legislation, or developing a detailed profile of a senior executive through discreet interviews with those who have worked alongside them.
The subject matter varies widely, and you are expected to move between sectors, jurisdictions, and subject areas you may have had no prior exposure to. What matters is not what you already know, but the speed at which you can learn and the judgment you offer once you do.
Your profile:
- Proven project team lead (‘case manager’), running 2-3 analysts/associates.
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior staff.
- Confident pitching to clients, taking briefs, and delivering reports to senior stakeholders.
- Intellectually curious, articulate and interested in business, international affairs, and politics.
- Strong researcher, able to quickly grasp unfamiliar subjects.
- Confident engaging with senior professionals, asking questions and eliciting information.
- Exceptional writer, able to distil complex information into clear, concise reports.
- An information gatherer and connector rather than an advisor.
- Thrives on variety, intellectual challenge and diverse assignments.
- Academics in research-intensive subjects (history, PPE, international relations, languages, etc.).
- ~4-7 years' experience (Manager) /
- ~6-9 years' experience (Associate Director)
