Director – Corporate Intelligence & Client Development
Our client is an international advisory firm operating across strategic intelligence, disputes support, and geopolitical risk. The firm works with multinational corporates, financial institutions, investment funds, and legal advisors on complex, cross-border matters.
They are seeking an Associate Director to combine leadership of intelligence delivery with responsibility for client development and revenue generation. The role sits at the centre of the business, bridging execution and commercial growth.
Role Purpose
To lead high-quality intelligence and advisory engagements while building and managing client relationships that drive new and repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery & Project Leadership
Lead end-to-end strategic intelligence, due diligence, and investigative assignments across multiple jurisdictions
Structure lines of enquiry based on commercial, regulatory, and political risk considerations
Develop and leverage human source networks to generate non-public insight across relevant markets
Deliver clear, commercially relevant outputs, including written reports and verbal briefings to senior stakeholders
Manage high-pressure client interactions, including presentations to deal teams, legal counsel, and C-suite audiences
Oversee junior team members and maintain high standards of analytical and written work
Business Development & Client Management
Build and manage relationships with existing clients, ensuring repeat engagement and long-term partnerships
Identify and originate new business opportunities across target client segments (private equity, corporates, legal, government)
Lead client engagement efforts, including meetings, pitches, and proposals
Develop and execute targeted business development initiatives to expand regional footprint
Work closely with senior leadership to convert opportunities into revenue-generating mandates
Act as a visible representative of the firm in the market
Candidate Profile
8–15+ years’ experience in corporate intelligence, strategic advisory, investigations, or a related field
Proven track record of leading complex, cross-border assignments independently
Demonstrated ability to build and manage client relationships and contribute to revenue generation
Strong commercial awareness, including the ability to quickly understand client business models and risk exposure
Experience working with clients such as private equity, multinational corporates, or legal advisors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured outputs
Established or developing network across business, policy, or advisory communities
Regional expertise in Asia-Pacific; additional language capability advantageous
