Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team delivering due diligence and company analysis across Asia, assessing commercial, regulatory, and political risks affecting businesses and investments.
- Define investigative and analytical strategies for projects, structuring research programmes to identify operational, commercial, and reputational exposure.
- Review and validate research outputs and investigative findings to ensure accuracy, clarity, and analytical rigour.
- Produce high-quality written reports and deliver briefings to senior leadership, legal teams, and investment professionals at multinational corporations and financial institutions.
- Build and cultivate a trusted professional network across industries in Asia to support current and future assignments.
- Contribute to client relationship management, proposal development, and broader business development initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- 6–10 years of relevant experience, including at least two years managing analysts or project teams.
- Background in management consulting, political risk advisory, cross-border transactions (M&A), government or trade representation, legal practice, think tanks, or policy institutions.
- Strong understanding of commercial, regulatory, and political risk across Asian markets.
- Demonstrated experience producing complex written analysis used by senior decision-makers.
- Ability to assess commercial drivers and regulatory exposure across sectors, particularly where companies interact with government authorities and regulators.
- Strong investigative and research capabilities, including the ability to synthesise diverse sources into clear analysis.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable operating in complex, ambiguous, and sensitive environments.
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluency in at least one Asian language is required.
