Director – Investigations, Due Diligence & Fraud
Global Investigations Firm | Singapore
A global investigations firm is seeking a senior leader to join its investigations, due diligence, and fraud practice. This role is designed for experienced advisory professionals who bring credibility with senior clients and a track record of leading complex engagements, but who are looking to operate in a more focused, specialist environment.
The appointment sits at Director level, with responsibility spanning case leadership, client engagement, and mentoring of junior staff.
The Role
The Director will lead and oversee matters including:
Complex pre-transaction and strategic due diligence
Fraud, misconduct, and integrity investigations
Disputes and litigation-support assignments
High-risk market entry and counterparty assessments
Engagements are typically cross-border, time-sensitive, and judgment-driven, requiring discretion, independence of thought, and the ability to operate without heavy institutional scaffolding.
Candidate Profile
This role is well suited to professionals with 15+ years’ experience, currently or recently operating in:
Big 4 forensic, disputes, investigations, or risk advisory practices
Large consulting or accounting firms with exposure to sensitive matters
Senior advisory or research-led roles supporting boards, GCs, or investment committees
Ideal candidates will bring:
Proven experience leading investigations or diligence engagements end-to-end
Strong client-facing presence with the ability to advise at GC, Board, or IC level
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report sign-off
Sound commercial judgement and an understanding of risk, reputation, and enforcement dynamics
You do not need to have spent your career in a pure investigations firm. Candidates transitioning from broader advisory environments are actively encouraged.
Why This Opportunity
Senior-level autonomy and visibility on matters that genuinely influence outcomes
Smaller, highly experienced teams with direct access to decision-makers
Reduced bureaucracy compared with large advisory platforms
Opportunity to shape practice direction, mentoring approach, and client relationships
Progression & Scope
The role offers scope to:
Act as trusted lead on marquee matters
Build and deepen relationships with key clients and referral sources
