Director – Business Development, Japan Location: Tokyo
Focus: Japan and global clients with business interests in Japan
Overview Lead client development and relationship management for a growing consulting firm serving law firms, corporates, and financial institutions. The role combines winning new business, strengthening existing relationships, and ensuring past clients remain engaged.
Key Responsibilities
Drive new business generation through targeted outreach, meetings, and campaigns. Manage key client accounts and ensure consistent, high-quality engagement. Oversee live assignments to maintain strong client satisfaction. Design and execute initiatives to deepen market reach and develop repeat business. Represent the firm externally and act as the primary contact for clients in Japan.
Requirements
Proven success in client-facing business development. Track record in winning, growing, and managing client relationships. Background in management consulting, investment banking, law, policy, or intelligence. Fluency in English; Japanese language skills strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
