This role suits someone accustomed to high-touch client coverage, complex stakeholder management, and disciplined revenue generation. You will lead client development for a growing advisory firm whose work spans disputes, investigations, due diligence, and regulatory-driven mandates. The remit blends origination, account management, and strategic relationship building with law firms, corporates, financial institutions, and investors.
Key Responsibilities:
Originate new mandates by identifying opportunities across corporate transactions, disputes, regulatory issues, and strategic advisory needs.
Build and manage a portfolio of senior client relationships, ensuring consistent engagement and long-term commercial value.
Drive structured outreach and market-mapping to expand the firm’s reach across investment banks, private equity, corporates, and legal advisers.
Oversee live client matters to maintain delivery standards and protect commercial relationships.
Develop repeat business by anticipating client needs, positioning relevant services, and coordinating senior-level conversations.
Represent the firm in Japan as a credible, well-informed commercial counterpart who can translate complex situations into actionable opportunities.
Requirements:
Strong track record in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related client-facing advisory environment, with measurable success in origination or relationship coverage.
Demonstrated ability to win mandates, manage senior clients, and navigate cross-border dynamics.
Familiarity with transactions, due diligence, capital markets, restructurings, or other areas requiring rigorous analytical discipline.
Clear, concise communicator with the professional presence to engage at C-suite and board level.
Fluency in English; Japanese language skills strongly preferred.
