Strategic Intelligence Manager

We are seeking a Strategic Intelligence Manager to lead complex, cross-border assignments and deliver actionable insights that shape business strategy and investment decisions. The role combines an investigative mindset with regional expertise and commercial acumen, enabling clients to navigate opaque markets, assess counterparties, and anticipate risks.

This is a position for someone who is naturally curious, detail-oriented, and relentless in pursuit of clarity. The ideal candidate can combine open-source research with discreet human enquiries, distil findings into concise analysis, and present conclusions confidently to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth reputational due diligence on companies, investors, and senior executives.
Map and assess commercial landscapes, industry dynamics, and political/regulatory environments across Asia and beyond.
Evaluate potential partners, agents, and acquisition targets through structured research and confidential source networks.
Produce clear, analytical reports that withstand legal, regulatory, and boardroom scrutiny.
Track and interpret regional developments, sanctions regimes, and regulatory trends with direct impact on client sectors.
Support client market-entry and investment strategies by identifying risks, opportunities, and key stakeholders.
Present findings persuasively to boards, investment committees, and legal counsel.

Candidate Profile

7–10 years’ relevant experience, which may include:
Business, strategy, or management consulting
Geopolitical or political risk analysis
Cross-border dealmaking or advisory
Government, diplomatic, or trade representative work
Legal practice, litigation support
Corporate investigations, asset tracing
Government intelligence, global law enforcement, public prosecutions

Skills & Attributes:

Strong research and investigative capabilities; ability to connect disparate data points.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — clear, structured, and persuasive.
Comfort operating in complex, ambiguous, and sensitive environments.
Adept at working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in Southeast or North Asian languages is a strong advantage.

Academic Backgrounds:
History, politics, geography, philosophy, international relations, or anything interesting.

Core Mindset:

Intellectually curious, rigorous, and detail-driven.
Persistent in pursuit of facts, context, and truth — someone who digs deeper, questions assumptions, and thrives on uncovering what others overlook.
