Seeking a Regional Head of Investigations to lead our client’s Middle East practice, overseeing high-stakes disputes and executive due diligence assignments. This is a senior leadership position at the forefront of litigation support, regulatory inquiries, arbitration, and sensitive internal investigations. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on expertise, requiring a leader who can drive complex case strategy, manage regional teams, and deliver actionable intelligence to law firms, corporates, and financial institutions.

The successful candidate will bring a proven track record in investigations within adversarial and regulatory environments, strong client-handling capabilities, and the ability to elevate our regional offering through both execution and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Case Management

  • Lead complex disputes and due diligence investigations across the Middle East, including litigation, arbitration, regulatory, and internal matters.
  • Develop and oversee case strategy in alignment with legal timelines and client objectives.
  • Act as the primary client contact for sensitive, high-profile matters, advising on risk, fact development, and jurisdictional nuances.

Investigative Excellence

  • Direct and conduct advanced research, source interviews, asset traces, and intelligence gathering.
  • Synthesize findings into clear, client-ready deliverables tailored to legal and corporate audiences.
  • Uphold evidentiary standards and investigative integrity in contentious settings.

Practice & Team Development

  • Mentor and develop investigators and case managers, building a high-performing regional team.
  • Share knowledge on litigation-driven investigations, cross-border risks, and best practices.
  • Champion innovation in investigative tools, workflows, and methodologies to improve quality and efficiency.

Regional Growth & Strategy

  • Represent the practice with clients, industry stakeholders, and external partners in the Middle East.
  • Shape the firm’s regional footprint by aligning investigative capabilities with market opportunities.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and reputation-building initiatives in the disputes and investigations arena.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 12–15+ years leading complex investigations, with significant exposure to disputes, litigation support, and executive due diligence. Regional Middle East experience strongly preferred.
  • Client Expertise: Proven success managing relationships with law firms, corporates, financial institutions, and regulators in high-pressure, adversarial contexts.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams, while setting strategic direction for a practice area.
  • Investigative Skills: Advanced research, analysis, and human intelligence development; ability to distil large, complex datasets into concise, actionable insights.
  • Legal & Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with evidentiary standards, arbitration processes, and cross-border regulatory frameworks.
  • Communication: Exceptional writing and presentation skills; able to deliver compelling, polished reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Multilingual skills a plus.
