Director, Regional Head of Investigations – Middle East Disputes & Executive Due Diligence
Seeking a Regional Head of Investigations to lead our client’s Middle East practice, overseeing high-stakes disputes and executive due diligence assignments. This is a senior leadership position at the forefront of litigation support, regulatory inquiries, arbitration, and sensitive internal investigations. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on expertise, requiring a leader who can drive complex case strategy, manage regional teams, and deliver actionable intelligence to law firms, corporates, and financial institutions.
The successful candidate will bring a proven track record in investigations within adversarial and regulatory environments, strong client-handling capabilities, and the ability to elevate our regional offering through both execution and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Case Management
Lead complex disputes and due diligence investigations across the Middle East, including litigation, arbitration, regulatory, and internal matters.
Develop and oversee case strategy in alignment with legal timelines and client objectives.
Act as the primary client contact for sensitive, high-profile matters, advising on risk, fact development, and jurisdictional nuances.
Investigative Excellence
Direct and conduct advanced research, source interviews, asset traces, and intelligence gathering.
Synthesize findings into clear, client-ready deliverables tailored to legal and corporate audiences.
Uphold evidentiary standards and investigative integrity in contentious settings.
Practice & Team Development
Mentor and develop investigators and case managers, building a high-performing regional team.
Share knowledge on litigation-driven investigations, cross-border risks, and best practices.
Champion innovation in investigative tools, workflows, and methodologies to improve quality and efficiency.
Regional Growth & Strategy
Represent the practice with clients, industry stakeholders, and external partners in the Middle East.
Shape the firm’s regional footprint by aligning investigative capabilities with market opportunities.
Contribute to thought leadership and reputation-building initiatives in the disputes and investigations arena.
Candidate Profile
Experience: 12–15+ years leading complex investigations, with significant exposure to disputes, litigation support, and executive due diligence. Regional Middle East experience strongly preferred.
Client Expertise: Proven success managing relationships with law firms, corporates, financial institutions, and regulators in high-pressure, adversarial contexts.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams, while setting strategic direction for a practice area.
Investigative Skills: Advanced research, analysis, and human intelligence development; ability to distil large, complex datasets into concise, actionable insights.
Legal & Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with evidentiary standards, arbitration processes, and cross-border regulatory frameworks.
Communication: Exceptional writing and presentation skills; able to deliver compelling, polished reports for senior stakeholders.
