Analyst – Corporate Intelligence Chinese, Vietnamese, or Bahasa Indonesia Malaysia
A fast-growing investigations firm is seeking an Analyst to join its APAC team in Malaysia. This role offers the opportunity to work on cross-border assignments focused on reputational risk, compliance, and corporate intelligence across the Asia Pacific region.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, intellectually curious, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Analysts are responsible for conducting deep-dive research and producing well-structured reports to inform clients' risk-based decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct public domain research on companies and individuals using open-source and proprietary tools.
Translate documents or information in Chinese, Vietnamese, or Bahasa Indonesia (as applicable).
Gather, assess, and summarise information from internal and external sources.
Analyse findings and present insights clearly and concisely.
Prepare written reports in English or a relevant local language, in line with company standards and procedures.
Collaborate with team members on regional or thematic assignments.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. political science, international relations, law, journalism, or finance).
Fluency in Chinese, Vietnamese, or Bahasa Indonesia is essential; written and spoken English must also be of a high standard.
Prior experience in research, due diligence, business intelligence, investigations, journalism, or financial services is desirable.
Demonstrated interest in Southeast Asia and knowledge of regional dynamics.
Excellent analytical, editorial, and communication skills.
Ability to handle complex, often ambiguous information with accuracy and sound judgment.
Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and an ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Proficiency with MS Office and online research tools.
Strong ethical standards and professional integrity.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when required.
