Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Associate to join a team working on complex international investigations, disputes, and asset tracing assignments. This role requires strong research and analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth public record research and open-source intelligence gathering across various jurisdictions
Analyse information from diverse sources to support litigation, arbitration, and asset recovery strategies
Draft clear, concise, and insightful written reports for senior stakeholders
Assist in planning and managing casework, meeting project deadlines reliably
Liaise with local sources, partners, and colleagues across time zones to develop leads and build investigative narratives
Requirements:
1–2 years’ experience in investigations, intelligence, disputes support, or a related research-intensive field
Demonstrated use of public record research tools and databases
Fluent in Portuguese (written and spoken); additional language skills an asset
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
Exceptional written communication and critical thinking skills
Cultural adaptability and professional maturity when working across borders
Preferred:
Background in asset tracing, litigation support, or investigative research
Demonstrated ‘investigative instinct’ or professional judgement in complex situations
