Reporting to:
Country CEO and Group Head of Operational Risk Management
THE ROLE:
Governance and Framework Strengthening:
Oversee and enhance the overall operational risk management governance and framework.
Ensure alignment with group policies and local regulations.
Policy Implementation:
Roll out policies and procedures locally, adhering to both group standards and local regulatory requirements.
Risk Guidance:
Provide expert guidance to senior management on risk-related matters, assisting in strategic decision-making processes.
Risk Scanning:
Conduct comprehensive risk scanning activities, encompassing country-specific, global, regulatory, emerging trends, and industry developments.
Risk Management Responsibilities:
Manage Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), operational risk events, and indicators.
Oversee third-party risk management, information risk management, digital risk, and business continuity planning.
Team Leadership:
Lead the local risk management team, providing direction and support.
Foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance within the organization.
ABOUT YOU:
Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in risk management.
First or second-line experience in risk management and controls.
Demonstrable experience in private wealth management.
Proficiency in financial products such as equities, fixed income, funds, trusts, etc.
Strong understanding of risk and controls methodologies.
Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to various stakeholders.
