Fund management compliance specialist required for broad compliance role covering full spectrum of compliance for a fund manager, being licence applications, updating / maintaining up-to-date compliance frameworks, fulfilling relevant MAS requirements, reporting, training, preparing for audits/inspections and implementing regulatory change.
Duties:
Provide advice to senior management on a wide range of regulatory compliance matters, including:
- Drafting compliance policies and procedures
- Handling regulatory matters such as licence applications, regulatory returns and filings
- Regulatory liaison (liaising with the MAS)
- Responding to regulatory queries
- Staff training
- Regulatory change projects
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments (local, regional and global)
Profile:
- 5+ years of regulatory experience gained in a fund manager, audit/consulting, legal practice or MAS
- 2+ years of in-house compliance experience
- Knowledge of MAS rules and regulations applicable to funds
- Understanding of asset management and key regulatory issues
- Broad knowledge across asset classes
- Experience translating regulatory rules into compliance policy and practices
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to confidently interact with senior management
